Delhi government will set up 42 information kiosks-cum-food counters in the national capital, installed by a private firm for the convenience of tourists during the upcoming Commonwealth games.
City-based Ved Pohoja Associates on Friday said it is setting up the kiosks, branded 'Tourist Info-Cafes,' in several areas across the capital with support from civic agencies like MCD and NDMC.
"Our primary aim was to create a brand for Delhi and to help tourists carry good memories of Delhi even after the Games.
For this, we have drawn people from diverse professions including hospitality, architecture, finance consultancy and designing," said designer Ved Pohoja, who has conceived the project.
