2010 Commonwealth Games Aquatics events

Aquatics: 2010 Commonwealth Games' aquatics events will be held at SPM sports complex.

The Commonwealth Games associations of participating nations can send upto 68 atheletes to participate in aquatic sports. A total of 56 medal sets are at stake in swimming, diving and synchronized swimming events

Swimming:
Date: 4-Oct till 9-Oct

The following swimming events will be held for both men and women:

• Freestyle: 50 m, 100 m, 200 m, 400 m
• Backstroke: 50 m, 100 m, 200 m
• Breaststroke: 50 m, 100 m, 200 m
• Butterfly: 50 m, 100 m, 200 m
• Individual medley: 200 m, 400 m
• Relays: 4×100 m freestyle, 4×200 m freestyle, 4×100 m medley

In addition women will compete in 800m event and men will have 1500m event. Each country may have upto 3 swimmers in individual events and 1 team in relay events.

 

Synchronized Swimming: This is a women only competition with solo and duet events.
Date: 6-Oct and 7-Oct

Each country can send upto 3 swimmers for solo events and a team (pair) for duet event.

Diving:
Date: 10-Oct till 13-Oct

The following swimming events will be held for both men and women:

  1 m springboard
• 
  
  3 m springboard
• 
  
  10 m platform
• 
  
  Synchronized 3 m springboard
• 
  
  Synchronized 10 m platform

In addition women will compete in 800m event and men will have 1500m event. Each country may have upto 3 swimmers in individual events and 1 team in relay events.

CGAs may enter up to three divers in each individual event and two pairs in each synchronized event.
