Indian lifter Sarabjit Singh broke four national records as the two-day weightlifting selection trials, part of the test event for Commonwealth Games 2010, concluded at Jawahar Lal stadium on Sunday.
Sarabjit recorded a snatch lift of 165kg and a jerk lift of 215kg for a combined weight of 380kg in the men's +105kg category.
In the women's +75kg, Geeta Rani lifted 100kg in snatch and 122kg in jerk for a total of 222kg, while L Monika lifted a total of 215kg (95+120) in the 75kg category.
Chandrakant Dadu Mal lifted 146kg in snatch and 173kg in jerk for a total effort of 319kg in the men's 85kg category, while V A Christopher lifted 138kg in snatch and 180kg in jerk for a combined lift of 318kg in 94kg category.
